Legal Question in Immigration Law in Missouri
I am in a tourist visa here in US, I do have 10 years tourist visa and when I entered the country they stamped for me 6 months to stay here.
I am 22 years old and I do have my bachelor degree from a University in Morocco, by the way I am a female originally from Morocco. I would like to attend a university here and get my Master degree, my question is, is there a way to change my status here instead of flying back to Morocco to get a new visa? is it easy to get that?
I hope to hear from someone soon,
Regards
Nana

That could be possible if you are accepted into the Master degree program, get I-20 form from the university, have funds to pay tuition and living expenses (could be from a few thousand to tens thousand dollars a year), and eligible apply for a change of status prior to expiration of 6 months given to you on I-94. You can start attending school when the change of status is approved, and it can take a few months.
Generally, it's better to apply for a Student visa at the Consulate in the home country. However, depending on circumstances, it's possible to do as a change of status without leaving the USA.
