Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Missouri
Rental Lease
Can a landlord enter a rental unit without notice? Can a 12 month lease be cancelled and you be given 24 hours to move out? I have a lease in Springfield, Mo. and my landlord entered the unit without notice and I was told I had 24 hours to move out. Is this legal?

Re: Rental Lease
No. If you have a lease, the lease controls, but you cannot legally be evicted with less than ten (10) days notice.
When an owner enters without notice he violates the "covenant of quiet enjoyment" of the leased premises and breaches your lease. You could probably push back if he does move to evict you.
Good luck.
