Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Missouri
They said CANCER FREE but she died 6 weeks later from CANCER
My Grandmother in-law had went to the hospital complaining of pain. They ran several tests and the doctor said she was cancer free. 6 weeks later she had died from Liver Cancer and Bone Cancer. How can someone full of cancer get a clean bill of health? She recieved no pain pills or anything because they thought she was cancer free. She suffered big time. What can be done? Thanks.

Keep in mind that to be a good case the negligence of the physicians had to cause or contribute to cause death, or in this case, the suffering attending death. If the physicians missed the diagnosis and this resulted in them not medicating her pain, not only might it be a wrongful death claim, it might be a pretty significant non-economic damage claim for pain and suffering.
