I am living in a house my where my grandmotheris the person on the mortgage, but she Deeded it to my mother 2 yrs ago. My mother is the person on the title (from title search)but she passed away. She had no will so everything will have to go into probate. I want to keep the house, but need to know how and who I need to contact about ''buying'' if for what is currently owed on it.

Re: property ownership

I can help you resolve this problem. Please contact me to arrange a no cost consultation. I need to know more about your family tree. If the real estate is titled in your mother's name and there is no will, you may be an heir at law who is entitled to distribution from her probate estate. An estate needs to be opened and you have standing to do that. Come in and I will be happy to outline the procedure and obtain the information necessary to prepare and application for probate. You will need a death certificate for your mother, but we can obtain one if you don't have it.
