Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri
Real Estate discloser fraud
I recently puchased a house and with the first heavy rain the finished basement leaked. After pulling up the carpet and exposing the walls mold, cracked foundation, and evidence of epoxy injection repair was found. None of this was mentioned on the disclosure statement. As far as I knew I was buying a house with a DRY finished basement. What course of action should I take? Is there someone to help me prepare so that I can be reimbursed for these costly repairs?

Re: Real Estate discloser fraud
If you can show that the prior owner had knowledge of the defective condition (if a longstanding owner, this should not prove difficult) you will be able to recover your loss. I will be happy to discuss this matter with you, should you so desire.
