Legal Question in Traffic Law in Missouri
106 mph in a 70 mph zone
I just recieved my 1st speeding tickit doing 106 mph in a 70 mph zone. I'm seventeen and I still have my intermediate license. I appear in court March 1st. I would like to know what my penalty will be, if my licence will be revoked and if I need a lawyer.

Re: 106 mph in a 70 mph zone
You definitely need an attorney. Even with an attorney you will be lucky if the judge doesn't throw the book at you. We see on the news every few evenings how some 17 year old dies on the road usually taking other people with him going some absurd speed like 106. What were you thinking? Believe it or not young one, you are mortal, and so is everyone else in your car,on the road, or nearby. If I were the judge, I would do everything I could to make sure that you didn't drive again for a long, long time, and I'm a defense attorney. How do you think the prosecutor and the judge in your case are going to feel? I hope that you somehow pull your head out of wherever you've been keeping it and wise up before you kill yourself and/or someone else!
