Legal Question in Workers Comp in Missouri
I work at a chicken processing plant A week ago today I became ill with flu like symptoms. My symptoms progressively became worse with constant diarrhea, nausea, headaches, and dehydration. Three days ago I went to the ER and after several tests diagnosed me with Campylobacter . I was sent home with two scripts for antibiotics and have followup to marrow with doctor. The ER RN said that I got it from my job. Not sure, if they have had other co-workers in ER with same illness. I know I haven't worked around raw chicken at home. On different occasions when chicken is dumped onto the line we have had it splatter in our face's. Due to doctor and med bill I'm wondering if this is something I should file a work comp claim on ? Thank you !
