Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Montana

medical bills

My wife passed away and now I am getting doctor bills and other bills which were going through her insurance. Am I responsible for the balance of bills if the provider does not accept what the insurance pays? I live in Montana and I believe the car titles go to me as a right of survivorship. Any other monies have been used to pay monthly bills and funeral and credit card bills. Can a hospital, for example, garnish my wages or pension or properties in my name? I really have no money and have a teacher's retirement pension and a aid job at Head Start. My wife had the large salary. That is now gone.

Re: medical bills

You need to sit down with a Bky/Probate atty in Montana to discuss. It could be complicated, esp if she did not have life insurance or a will.
