can i get fired based on heresay

can i get fired based on heresay my boss fired me from my job because another employee told her i was smoking in a chemical room which is untrue. thanks for your time.

First- Apply for Unemployment Benefits. They will have to prove misconduct to deny benefits.

Second- FIght it. See an employment law atty ASAP and sue for wrongful termination.
