Legal Question in Criminal Law in Nevada

intimidation

I'm married to a woman who has a child from a previous relationship. We are at the beginning of a custody battle for the child. The child's father is a bail bondsman and licensed to carry a gun. He consistently shows up at our house when he knows I'm not there with at times up to three guns strapped to his body in plain site. At times he raises his voice in regards to the future case and issues that need to be discussed regarding the child.

Is it legal for him to do all of this while making sure his guns are in plain site?

Re: intimidation

You have two options. 1. File a OSC with the family court requesting an order that he is not to wear any firearms when he is contacting you wife or when the child is under his care. Most judges will not be happy with him coming to you house wearing a firearm. If possible get a picture of his at one of these meetings. A video tape with audio would be ideal. 2. call the police when he comes. report his conduct and request that a police officer come to your home. If all else fails then contact the state agency that licenses bail bond agents and report his bizarre conduct. This report should be in writing. Mail it certified mail to the agency.

Re: intimidation

Your wife should contact her attorney and request a restraining order against him. OR, she could tell him that she will do so if he doesn't stop such intimidation. Such a restraining order will make him ineligible to possess or control any firearm.
