reduced fee / schedule

How often will attorney's agree to a reduced fee/fee schedule?

An attorney is willing to take a $600 retainer with $200/month on an hourly rate. He says it will most likely take 5 hours.

Is this common or is this a rare favor and the client should take the attorney's offer?

2 charges in Nevada:

1. Battery Domestic Violence

2. Posession of Narcotic paraphenalia

first offense for the woman.

He is doing you a large favor, take it if he knows what he is doing. Those charges would normal result in at least several thousand dollars in fees, so be sure he is experienced.
