Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

Child Support

I was married in New York and have one child. Years ago my wife moved to Las Vegas. She had a divorce drawn up In Las Vegas and sent it to me.The papers were signed and it stated that my son's jurisdiction will be in Las Vegas. My question is the child support order was in New york. My son is now 19 and he is attending a program for computers, not necessarily a college. Do I still have to pay child support? Or did it end when he was 18. Does the support order automatically go to L.V. since the divorce stated the jurisdiction is in Vegas?

Re: Child Support

If the child support order was issued from NYS then that is the state that applies. Unless the divorce judgment incorporated the child support order. If NYS law applies then the age of emancipation is 21 unless he becomes emancipated before then by enlisting, working full-time or becoming estranged.
