Legal Question in Immigration Law in Nevada
I have a couple of questions in one.... I was brought into the country in 1989 illegally by my father we succesfully crossed the border with no immigration detention. in 90or 92 my father being a legal resident petitioned me n I received a letter that stated I was accepted and I should wait for their next leeter that indicated my appt for biometrics but i never received it, then in '92 my father commited a crime and was deported. What can I do? on the other hand I've been told that that petition is no longer valid unless I marry a citizen that petion would keep me from having to leave the country and within 3 apprx. 3 months I can receive a work permit is this true? What happens if I marry a legal resident and file through him will that help me at all or the wait will be too long?

It makes a big difference a date when your father's petition was filed. Was it in 1990 or in 1992 - what is the priority date?
Yes, that old petition is no longer valid if the petitioner was deported and lost his permanent resident status.
You should definitely schedule a consultation with a qualified immigration attorney.
