Legal Question in Immigration Law in Nevada

I entered the U.S. in September 1999 on a tourist R B-2 visa which expired in March of 2000. My I-94 verifying LAX as my port of entry has been lost. Two years ago I married a U.S. citizen and we need to know which form we need to file first.

Before you apply for adjustment of status, you need to have a proof of your lawful entry to USA and inspection by the CBP. Obtaining a replacement of I-94 would be the first step.

Then, you can apply for adjustment of status as a spouse of a US citizen.
