Legal Question in Immigration Law in Nevada

Second post: Hi. I'm hoping to find some help with the following: I came to the U.S. from Guatemala, legally, on a tourist visa in 1992. I applied for asylum in 1993 and I still haven't heard anything about that. I also applied for a work permit as a person who entered the country illegally. That was advised to me by my attorney - the attorney's office was later closed for fraud business. Up to this day I am renewing my work permit. As far as documents go, I have a ssn and a driver's license. My questions are: Is there any way I can apply for a adjustment of status? Also, is there any way I can apply for legal residency? Thank you very much for your help and answers!

From a brief reading of your post, there appears to be no basis for your application for adjustment of status. For one to apply for adjustment of status (green card) you have to be eligible based on one of many eligibility grounds. What would be your eligibility ground for adjustment?

I suggest you consult a knowledgeable immigration attorney for advice.
