Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Nevada

american mining law

Is there a U.S. federal legal statute or court precedent that says that a BLM-filed lode mining claim certificate of location cannot be amended to change an incorrect date of location? In other words, to change an incorrect date (e.g., incorrect because of a typo), it is necessary to restake the entire claim - amending the claim is not legal, even though other mistakes are curable. I have good reason to believe this is true, but I need a specific legal reference, possibly by the Interior Board of Land Appeals or a civil case or perhaps reference in the American Law of Mining.

Re: american mining law

I have no idea of the federal statues on mining law.

However, I am including a web page from a search engine which seems to have many comprehensive pages to search.

I regret that my "pro bono" work for Law Guru" precludes spending time on legal research.
