Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Nevada

Living Trust

My Dad passed away in December. He had six children. I was advised by my stepmom that my dad identified each sibling to receive 1/6 of his estate. However my youngest sister who is the daughter of my stepmom does not want to settle the estate. Both our stepmom and sister who is executor of the estate will not communicate with none of us the other 5 siblings. We have contacted the law office Jeffery Cogan in Nevada. Three weeks ago he advised us that we would receive a letter in the mail but that was three weeks ago. He now is not returning calls. What should we do???.

Re: Living Trust

You can check with the county in Nevada where your father resided before his death to see if a probate has been filed. If not, or if it has, but you haven't received an official notice, consult with a qualified attorney in Nevada.

Re: Living Trust

If your father passed away in NV, then the NV court would handle the Probate, most likely.
