Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Nevada

Cannot locate copy of Trust

My grandfather has passed and according to one lawyer who has a copy of the trust, I cannot get a copy from him even though I'm listed as a trustee (or benneficiary). I do not know the lawyer that helped my grandfather create the trust. My step-grandma's daughter has a copy but will not give one to me. She states there isn't a trust but she is lying. How can I obtain a copy? Grandpa lived in Vegas and I live in CA.

I concur with Mr. Roth's answer and would also suggest that you file a bar complaint against the attorney who claims to have a copy, but refuses to provide you with a copy. You can also call the attorneys who do only trusts in Las Vegas and they will usually tell you if they have a copy if you are a beneficiary.

You have to sue the trustee for an accounting in Las Vegas and use supoena power if there are copies with anyone other than the trustee.
