Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Nevada

The man I have lived with for the past 10 years just died and did not have a will. He gave me general power of attorney several months before he died to handle his finances. Can I file his tax return without a court order as his personal representative?

A power of attorney ends when the person who gave you that power dies.
