Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Hampshire

please help

My daughter was accused of stealing from her former employer and now they are trying to say i stole they have called me at home telling me this and then telling all the customers also. They say they have to go through all the tapes to send to the police and they have me freaked out and i can't sleep. They are also saying we had my children steal for me also. What can I do to protect myself from my former employers

Re: please help

I would avoid contact with them and don't make any statements that might be used against you later. They might twist words around to make it sound like you admitted stealing. If you are contacted by the police, tell them you would like to have a lawyer present for all questioning, and assert your right to remain silent.
