Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Hampshire
if I was pulled over for speeding in NH, and have never had a speeding ticket for the 4 years I've been driving, can I write the officer a letter to see if maybe he can throw away the ticket?

No, but there should be a pre-trial conference set and you can go and talk to the Prosecutor or officer and they will try to make a deal with you. They probably will reduce the speed so your fine is minimal or possibly you can ask that it be placed on file without a finding for one year and if you get no other violations, the tear up the ticket. It does not hurt to ask.
If you do not like the offer, you can then elect to go to trial at a later date.
