Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New Jersey
Bankruptycy
I have a business that is upside down that i have to close. I have personal credit as well as business credit accounts open that i can not pay. If i file for bankrupt does my wife have to? She was not envolved in any of the business and her credit was not uesed.

Re: Bankruptycy
If you wife is not an obligor or guarantor on the personal and business debts, she likely does not need to file along with you.

Your spouse is not obligated to file just because you do. Feel free to call me to discuss winding up the business and potential bankruptcy.
