Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New Jersey
Business Bankruptcy
I ordered and paid for furniture in Oct, and never received it. Numerous phone calls and faxes to company were not returned. I now find out the business has gone bankrupt. How do I get my money back?

Re: Business Bankruptcy
It really depends on what type of bankruptcy the business has filed. You may want to file what is called a "proof of claim" which is an official bankruptcy document filed by someone who is owed money by a debtor company in bankruptcy stating exactly what you are owed - in your case either the furniture or your money. You first need to find out what bankruptcy court this company filed in. If you need help you can call my office at 877-832-2376.
