Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New Jersey
missed creditor"
filed cap 13 no problem attorney never sent me any papers of any kind, i went to courthouse and got copy of creditors .the most important was a lien on my property "my house" in amouint of 15k and this creditor appeard not to have been notified. am i still liable for this debt .there was a wage garnishment associated with this lien and that was stopped

Lien on house in Ch. 13
Bankruptcty discharges personal liability, butunless there is a particular code provisionallowing it AND a motion to avoid the lien, liens are not affected by bankruptcy. In otherwords, they can foreclose on your house but they cannot garnish your wages.
