Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey
Is it legal for a convicted felon (armed robbery) to be able to take customers social security numbers and credit card information for a business?

Legal or not, it is not smart. Not smart for the business owner. Not smart for the customer who will be very afraid of problems. And also not smart for the convict, who now will have people staring at everything he does at that job, and if anything goes wrong for any customer at all for any reason, even if he has nothing to do with the problem, the suspicion will be on him!
