Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey

If I type up a contract/agreement (co-author agreement) and have it witnessed & notarized, is this a binding legal document?

As a franchise attorney I can say as long as there is offer, acceptance and consideration - you will have a binding contract. Most simple contracts do not need to be witnesses or notarized - you're probably thinking about a will. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
