Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey

release form of responsibilty

I need a blank copy of a form I could use to release myself from responsibility for work I am about to do. I can not be responsible because the physical conditions on the site are inadequate.

Re: release form of responsibilty

I am not aware of a "blank" or "standard" form for this type of release. My recommendation would be to have an attorney draft up an agreement specific for your situation. Feel free to contact my office for additional information.

Re: release form of responsibilty

This is only part of the problem you face. A form of release may not work at all, and you MIGHT even make things worse. For example, if someone does get injured, and you have a document that shows that you clearly know about that danger but did the work anyway, then the injured person's lawyer might argue that you should be liable for the injury PLUS additional money for punitive damages to punish you for doing something that you KNEW may cause injury.

You need a lawyer to assist. There are some smart ways to deal with this, but a form release is not one of them.

Please call my office if I can assist you. You can then decide how you would like to proceed.
