If you owe someone money and they come to your door asking for payment, that in and of itself is not an offense. If, however, the matter in in collections that is different and the collection agency has an obligation to abide by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Further, you are not required to answer you door and if anyone makes threats it may not only be an actionable civil offense but also a crime.
You may want to discuss in private with a lawyer. If you would like to discuss further over a free phone consult, feel free to contact me anytime that is convenient.
Kind regards,
