Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey
I will be getting laid off from my job after 32 years and will get unemployment. In the meantime, I have a novel coming out and will eventually receive royalties. Will I still be able to collect umemployment?

Yes. In order to collect unemployment, you must be available for work and actively seeking work. There are some other requirements not necessarily relevant to your question. I assume that you will continue to look for a job while you are waiting for your novel to be published.

Don't worry about it, trust me, your unemployment will run out before your royalties start rolling in!
