Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

Do I have a cause of action under the FCRA against a credit reporting agency or information provider for failing to remove erroneous information from my credit report?

Several years ago a judgment (in a county court) was entered against me. The judgment was later vacated. A CRA still had it listed in my file and I disputed the information. The CRA insisted that they contacted the court and verified the information to be correct, and refused to remove it from my credit history. I called the court and they confirmed that their records show the judgment has been vacated.

Do I have a cause of action against the CRA or the court? I don't understand how, if the record reflects that the judgment is vacated, an investigation into my dispute can confirm the judgment as still valid. I suspect that the CRA has not actually done an actual investigation.

Have you obtained a copy of the judgment and forwarded it off to them?
