Minors can make contracts for the necessaries of life and those contracts are binding as with an adult. Otherwise, a person can repudiate a contract made as a minor within a reasonable time after achieving majority. If you had notice of the suit as an adult and did not defend it by raising the issue of your minority when the charges were made, it is probably too late to do that now.
