I am owed money

Hello, I was with a partner for a while, and i lent him $400 to pay his rent. We are no longer together, and i want my money back. I have spoken to him and told him he may make weekly payments in the amt of $20 a week since i know he is tight on funds. He has not paid me anythign, i have a voice mail of him stating he will pay me weekly. What do i do next.
