Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

1st degree robbery conviction

My son was recently convicted of 1st degree robbery, something about a weapon. i would like to know, when there is no weapon found, there is no camera with him on it, the original dispatched call that came in his name was never given but in court the witness testified that he saw his face which if that was the case, then when the original call was dispatched out you would think that his name would have been given. My question is, will he qualify for the 85% thing? I'm not familiar with legal matters have never been in trouble.

Re: 1st degree robbery conviction

Sounds like something went wrong with the trial. I suggest you see an attorney to start on the appeal right away. Yes, he will be sentenced to a NERA sentence or 85%. Without knowing anything about the case, I can tell you he will probably get somewhere around 15 years with 85%.
