Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
hello ... i ahve a question... One night while walkin ... I ran intosome of my old friends.. They decided walk in my direction... So we seen four cop cars coming and waite till they passed so we could coss the street... However, about mid way down they decided to jump out on us and demanded the two men that were with me to get on the wall. Me and another young lady decided to wait to see what wuld happen. But then the other cop told me and her to get on the wall abput 2 mintues later. I thought he wanted to un my name so I asked if he would like identification and he said no. I asked him what he would be doing and he said writing you a ticket and I asked what for, he said for drinking in public. I had no alcohol and in fact I hadn't drunk at all. He stated that "yes you were. Look at all the bottles on the ground." I gave him my information and I said that he was wrong. Thats when he said he would see me in court. I even offered to take abreathalyzer test and he declined.

Obviously, you know that you should have kept walking, if they initially had no interest in you.
Secondly, you obviously know that you will have to go to court and deal with the charge. Call me if you like.
If you didn't do anything wrong then you should not plead guilty to anything, even a reduced charge. You will likely have to go to trial if you don't want to plead to anything. Please call me to discuss your options in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
Sincerely yours, -Ronald Aronds, Esq.-
