Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

bad checks and third degree theft

I am being charged of this and this is my first offense, I never had a criminal history before. What am I looking at sentence wise:imprisonment or probation with payback and I can also prove through bank book that the amount they are charging me with{10,000} is actually 6000.00 in theft what is your thoughts about this? They are also charging me with 13000.00 in bad checks. What kind of sentence am I looking at.

I am a criminal defense attorney. I handled many cases like this. We can try to get you into pti with full restitution, if you are successful the matter could get dismissed. If you do not have an attorney who knows how to do this correctly you are facing 3 to 5 years in state priron. 201\645\9600.

You could go to jail and you could still get probation, if you case is handled properly. You need to hire an attorney.

Call me if you like.

Keep in mind that a criminal conviction alone, regardless of the actual punishment, could really screw up your life. Invest in a good attorney and it will pay dividends for years to come.
