Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

i am a car dealer I gave several cars to another dealer to sell. He sold the cars wrote me 4 bad checks in a row took the titles. He kept the money. What crimes can he be charged with should I call our state DMV

It is a criminal offense to write a check knowing that the checking account has insufficient funds

to make the check good.

You should contact the police about the bad check aspect of the case and comtact the Motor Vehicle Commission (formerly the DMV) to report the fraudulent taking of the titles by the other person.
