Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

credit card theft- insanity

Sir,

I have been charged for credit card theft. Actually I found credit card from bus and I used that. As a matter of fact, I hear voices and voices told me to do so. I was admitted in hospital two times for the same problem. I been on medication for that.

Detective came to me in search for the credit card they took me to police station and they told me if i need lawyer I can do so. As I didnt have know how i didnot ask for lawyer and them that i got credit card and i used it and i also told that i hear voices. Suit is filed against me in municipal court and decrease the charges from theft to misandevour. I just want to know what should i bring to court to satisfy them that i was hearing voices and I did the act in that condition i.e. in insanity. Lookin g forword for your reply

The insanity defense is a very difficult and complex type of defense to present. If you have medical documentation showing the medical condition you describe, I would advise you to consult with a lawyer to try and present it to the court for you. I am an attorney who has handled many cases similar to yours in various courts throughout New Jersey in the past. Please contact me to discuss your case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.

Sincerely yours, -Ronald Aronds, Esq.-

Re: credit card theft- insanity

You need an expert witness to testify that you were insane at the time. However, this is municipal court, so it would be cheaper to just get a good attorney. Call me to discuss.

Medical documentations. You may need an expect. Your are saying you are not guilty because of insanity. That is a dangerous ground to touch in criminal court. It is called a kroll case. I suggest you hire an attorney.
