Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

i have to go infront of the grand jury bc i had gotten jumped outside while walking my dog. i came in the house with a bloody face and proceeded to call the police. my boyfriend and i have had a past domestic violence case. the ambulance took me to the hospital along with the cop who from a previous incident had arrested my boyfriend. the cops automatically assumed it was my boyfriend who had hit me when i kept telling them the truth that i had gotten jumped outside. they took pictures on their cellphone of my bloody face and i them washed my face. i am now wondering how i can drop the case before the grand jury and not perjure myself for something that they said happened but it really didnt happen that way
