The cops said i was very cooperative and they will help me in court. i just wana know how serious i should take this. should i get a lawyer? or talk to the prosecutor myself? last thing i want to get is jail time for a bb gun..

The offense you have been charged with is at least a thirt degree crime, punishable by up to five years in prison. If it is a second degree cirme, it would be punishable by up to ten years in prison. YOU NEED TO HIRE A LAWYER, NOW!. Don't be lulled into feeling protected by the
police Second degree possession of a handgun requires a prison sentence.

I agree with Mr. Moore. You may be facing mandatory prison time and you will have to get an attorney either way. Check out www.njgunpermitattorney.com or call me at 732/773/2768 to discuss.
This is a third degree crime which means you can do up to 5 years in state prison. You will be required to have a lawyer to go to court with you, either a private lawyer if you can afford one or a public defendaer if you cannot. Please contact me to discuss your case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
