Re: Juvenille Deliquency

What you are describing sounds like it is second degree endangering the welfare of a child. A second degree criminal conviction does carry a presumption of imprisonment, meaning you will go to jail for some time if you are convicted. If there is no evidence then there can be no conviction, but if a charge has been brought against you that means the state does have some evidence of some kind. I don't do law suits so I can't answer the last part of your question. I am an attorney who has handled many cases similar to yours in various courts throughout New Jersey in the past. Please contact me to discuss your case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.

Jail time for a juvenile is probably not the problem. The problem is the potential for being a registered sex offender for the rest of a very young person's life.

Call me if you like.

Re: Juvenille Deliquency

For an adult, this would be a second degree offense, which would mean probable jail. That's probably not going to happen to a juvenile, but a juvenile is still subject to what is called Megan's Law, which means the minor could be required to register with the police as a sex offender for the rest of his or her life.

You need a lawyer.
