Missing a Court Date
If you miss your initial appearance court date, and they put out a warrant for your arrest, do they come to your home and get you or wait till you get pulled over or get involved in something else?

There is no hard rule as to the manner in which a warrant will be served. All of the situations that you have mentioned are possibilities as to the manner in which the police may serve a warrant on you. Keep in mind that this advice is based purely on the little bit of information that you have given to me. There certainly may be other factors that would change my opinion. Further, no one can rely on advice from an attorney who has not been retained. Since it appears that you have not retained an attorney, you may want to contact an attorney (either me or someone else) to discuss your matter in more detail. Only then will you be able to rely on the advice. Good luck! Rob Gleaner

they may come to your home, or they may arrest you if you are pulled over on a new charge. it depends on the police department, and on what the original charge you faced was. if you faced a serious crime and didn't go to court, you can be sure they will go to your house to get you. if it was less serious (traffic, etc.), it is less likely you'll get a knock on your door. what were you charged with? (theft, assault, careless driving, etc.,?)

Re: Missing a Court Date
All three are possible. That is why the mistake should be rectified with the assistance of an attorney.
