Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
The NJ prosecutor's office sued our home contractor for theft of taking payment without doing the work. We were awarded a settlement of $15,000 but the contractor is only obligated to pay $50 monthly. To date we have received a total of $200 for 4 months. We called prosecutor to ask for smaller settlement so we could get a lump sum but they said they didn't do that. How can we get a lump sum now?
