Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Non-sexual harassment

I have received a letter from a woman who is friends with an individual who was fired by my husband. This termination was for reasons entirely supported by my husband's company - the fired employee's union will not even support him. The woman made accusations that I know to be untrue - and they are the kind of accusations that families are ruined by. Do I have any recourse, any way to make her stop mailing letters to me? If I go to the police, will they be able to do anything? If so, under what law? Thanks for your help.

Re: Non-sexual harassment

Depending on what the letters say, you can go to the police. I also suggest that you see an attorney in case a law suit ever gets filed. You need to start preparing your case now and not later when a law suit is filed. If you wait, people may be gone or they will forget and important documents could get lost or destroyed.

If you need further assistance, my initial consultations are always free. Feel free to call me at 732/247/3340 and we can discuss your case.

Good luck!
