Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
if offered a sentence of 5 with a 13 what exactly does this mean and when are you eligible for parole?

It means that before you can go before the paole board
you must spend 13
onths in jail. The 5 years is the top number, but that does not
mean you would be in jail the whole 5 yrs.
