Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

i am have trouble getting my settlement started...this is a simple case wrongfully accused went to court 4 times, case dismissed .....they had the wrong person...accused by RITE AID store manager.....how long should this case take.,case dismissed 7/28/10....should i get a new lawyer ?? p s jailed for 2 days

You are not very clear in describing your situation, it sounds like you were charged with shoplifting and perhaps there was some kind of probationary period worked out by your attorney with the prosecutor that if you do not get into trouble for period of time the case will be dismissed. If it was dismissed on July 28, 2010, then the case should be over. You need to clarify your question better, but essentially you should speak to your lawyer to discuss with him what is happening and have him explain to you anything that is unclear. if you have any questions feel free to call (201)-894-9498, but you should really try to work the issue out with your current attorney first, good luck
