Legal Question in DUI Law in New Jersey
dwi/ refuasal
i was recently placed under arest for a dwi/refusal in nj. i have to represent myself because i cannot aford 5000-10000$ for a atorney and a public defender is out of the question. from what i here, i cannot get discovery from the police department unless i'm a lawyer. it is or i thought my constitutional right to represent myself in a court of law. i'm/am looking for insight on this bullsh*t

I would never recommend that someone handle a serious charge such as yours by themself. You should consult with an attorney. You may find that the legal fees aren't as high as you think. Don't speculate. I'm kinda on the expensive side, but my up front fee is not $5000. While I don't know him personally, it seems (from his posts) that Mr. Moore's fee isn't anything like that either. Call some other lawyers before you jump to the conclusion that you can't afford one.
