In certain instances the fresh pursuit law allows an officer of one town to cross a border into another town to make an arrest. If that's what happened to you, and you were subsequently charge with driving while intoxicated, you will need the assistance of an attorney with experience handling these types of cases.

Feel free to give me a call.

If they were in pursuit of you and you did not stop until you crossed from one town to the next then the officer from the originating town can stop and arrest you. Please call me for a free consultation on your case. Thank you.

Usually, an officer who observes erratic driving has the right and the duty to follow up. You might remember that there is something called a "citizen's arrest."

You must have some other, better defense in your case. Call me if you like.
