Legal Question in DUI Law in New Jersey

How does one go about requesting clemency or a pardon for a DUI 2-yr 2nd offense license suspension? I'd rather agree to sign a contract for immediate jail if ever I did this again in exchange for my license back. The hardship is just way too great. It's easier getting parole for a felony than for a motor vehicle violation !! We filed a motion to vacate the plea since the judge seemed to pre-judge the case, but that was unsuccessful. I also got a ticket for driving in a last minute emergency to get to my court ordered community service when my ride failed to show up and got whacked with an additional year of suspension and 10 days SLAP duty. It's like being dragged through the mud. The laws are just not right, either you're good or bad. I can see if I hit someone, hurt someone, killed someone, did property damage - OK , then it's severe. But driving the speed limit, honoring the traffic lights - the law lumps everyone together, no consideration of circumstance!! I'm not saying what I did was right, but the punishment doesn't seem to fit the crime !! Lawyers charge a lot and get no results so one can't keep trying legal remedies without going broke. I just want to write a letter and apologize and have someone have some compassion and understand and forgive. Where do I go to start?
