Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

C0-habitation

I divorced my wife /adultry / as of today she has been with this man for 5 years / they are together (under the same roof) at least 4 or 5 nights a week. He maintains his adress in Philadelphia only because he is a city fireman. I am paying her an unbelieveable amount of alimony (extortion) every month. and because we were married 19 yrs IT IS FOREVER. Unless she gets married ... But I know they will never marry, why would they, (I'm payin her bills) Meanwhile he is investing major $$ into her property (hot tub ..landscaping ... fireplace etc) ...... If I have him/them followed, and can prove that they are 'living as a couple' what are my chances of getting some relief on my alimony payments??

You were divorced today? without using an attorney? Did she admit adultery or was the divorce granted by virtue of 18 months separation? Was there a trial? If you didn't use an attorney, that was a major mistake, especially in a case like yours. However, should you be able to prove that they are living together, you can file a post judgement motion to terminate your alimony but you do need PROOF. Get an attorney.

You should be talking to the attorney who got you the divorce. You need a lawyer, and you should pursue this. Find an experienced divorce attorney in your area.
