You can file for divorce and seek child and spousal support or you can file a support complaint with the family part and request child and spousal support. To file the support complaint go to the county courthouse in Hackensack and to room 148. You can complete the form there and a support complaint will be prepared by the court staff.

If you plan to hire an attorney to obtain a divorce it would make more sense to simply have him file for support when he files the divorce complaint.

Go to Family Intake at the Morris County Courthouse and file a complaint for support. When you are ready to file for a divorce, see a lawyer.
